Wimbledon: longest matches recorded 2023
During a 2010 first round singles match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut, the pair broke the record for the longest match ever recorded at the Wimbledon Championships. In total, the match lasted 11 hours and five minutes across three days, with Isner emerging victorious. However, Isner's run in the competition did not last long, losing by three straight sets to Thiemo Carsten Jannick de Bakker in the second record. Eight years later, Isner featured in the second-longest ever match at Wimbledon, this time losing to Kevin Anderson in a match lasting over six and a half hours.
