Magazine brands had a total average audience of 1.56 billion in the United States in the year running to December 2020. Whilst print and digital editions of magazines had the largest number of readers with 642.6 million users, access through mobile web or video was on the rise from the previous year. Video is also an increasingly popular format, though the source did note that the COVID-19 pandemic affected magazine consumption in 2020, with less pass-along readership and more time spent with digital media.
