Share of pescatarians and flexitarians in the Netherlands by gender 2020
Nearly half of adult women in the Netherlands ate meat between one and four days per week in 2020, compared to roughly 40 percent of men. These so-called "flexitarians" consciously reduce their meat consumption for a variety of reasons. Women were also more likely to have a pescatarian diet than men.
