Black tea consumption in selected African countries 2017-2027
Kenya and South Africa were projected to be the largest consumers of black tea in Africa in 2027, according to calculations done in 2018. The consumption in Kenya was forecasted to jump from roughly 37.6 thousand metric tons in 2017 to approximately 56.6 metric tons in 2027. In its turn, the projection in South Africa revealed a slower growth, as the consumption was expected to variate from around 25 thousand metric tons in 2017 to nearly 33 thousand metric tons in 2027.
