This statistic shows the results of a 2017 survey in which 20 to 30 year olds in the United Kingdom (UK) were asked when they tend to consider purchasing high-end fashion or luxury items. The respondents said that they are most likely to buy for particular occasions, such as a wedding or party (19.2 percent), to treat themselves (18.1 percent) or when they get paid (14.7 percent).
