Reactions to streaming price growths to support unions on strike in the U.S. 2023
The majority of U.S. consumers to a 2023 survey would consider canceling a video streaming subscription if the prices went up to support the demands of WGA and SAG-AFTRA, with over half of 18 to-34-year-olds saying they would do so. The share was even higher among people aged 35 to 49 years at 64 percent. In general, younger people were more willing to pay the higher fee than their older peers.
