New business ownership rate in Africa 2020, by country
In 2020, the new business ownership rate in Angola stood at 24.3 percent, the highest rate among the surveyed African countries. The rate refers to the share of people aged 18 to 64 years who own a new business that is maximum 3.5 years old. The second-highest rate on the African continent was registered in Burkina Faso, where 12 percent of the adult population were owners of a new business.
