Cotton exports from West Africa 2020-2022, by country
In the crop year 2020/2021, the export of cotton from Côte d'Ivoire stood at around 1.2 million bales. This represented the highest export trade in West Africa, followed by Burkina Faso at approximately 1.1 million bales. In the agricultural year 2021/2022, cotton exports are forecast to decline or remain stable in all the selected West African countries.
