Only a minority of 10 percent of the public in Alberta expressed opposition to the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project. Across all Canadian provinces, 37 percent of the public were not in favor of the construction project.
The Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project was purchased by the Canadian government from Kinder Morgan in 2018, and will result in around 890,000 barrels of crude oil being transported per day from Alberta to the coast in British Columbia.
