Distribution of Zalando's marketplace GMV 2022, by category
Fashion sales accounted for the largest portion of Zalando's gross merchandise volume (GMV) in 2022. The most popular type of fashion product was apparel, which made up about half of the total GMV. Footwear accounted for one-fifth of the GMV, closely followed by bags and accessories, which had a share of 19 percent. The remaining GMV share originated from sales of personal care products.
